REMOVING STUFF FROM DD WRT FIRMWARE WINDOWS
So what I have is a Netgear R7000 (stock firmware) in my home location as OpenVPN server using 192.168.1.1 as IP in my roaming location a have a cable modem using 192.168.0.1 behind which I have a TP-Link Archer C7 v2 (dd-wrt) using 192.168.2.1 acting as a OpenVPN client.Ĭonnection to the OpenVPN server with Windows client works just fine, but for some reason i cannot get the router to run.

There was a post very similar to mine somewhere on this forum, but no reply. Kudos to Eko and crew.I'm posting cause i couldnt find a solution over the past two days. Only wierd thing is the LEDs act differently but it actually looks cooler. I don't do anything too complicated so I haven't had a chance to test anything serious. Now I have a nice subnet that my hot neighbor can safely be on and stay far away from my parent LAN. I was expecting to have to do all types of funky stuff (and was partially expecting a brick) but I just uploaded it using that standard "Router Upgrade" web gui. chk file thru the web interface and done? Mine was a version 8 with the original firmware.ĭid you have the original firmware (no hardware mods) and just uploaded that.
REMOVING STUFF FROM DD WRT FIRMWARE UPGRADE
